Her Experience in Our Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training in Mexico
My journey with SYI has been absolutely magical! I originally chose SYI because I wanted to participate in a program that was mindful of how accessible their programs were to diverse populations.
I found that SYI offered a 200HR Trauma-Informed YTT in Mexico with a f ocus on social justice, applied for a scholarship (which are offered for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC folks) and the rest is history!
I learned so much from this training. I am moving forward with greater depth in my own yoga asana practice, knowledge of the history of yoga, awareness of proper posture anatomy, and a solid foundation of how yoga and psychology are intertwined.
This training has given me the confidence and wisdom to start my own practice. I hope to offer a variety of classes that are geared towards mindfulness and stress reduction for children, educators, and families in the pubic school system in my area.
The people I took this training with, and my wonderful teachers, Brooke and Jeanine, remain a constant inspiration for me to share my gifts with the world. The love they poured into this training was so tangible, and they genuinely cared about each person in attendance.
The people that SYI brings together really feel like you are coming back home to family. I am so grateful for the memories and lifelong connections made through this program.
